Germany x Shy!Reader Quiet Part 6

After two hours in a slightly awkward silence, Ludwig had suggested that the two of you take a break. You stood up and stretched your arms and legs. It felt nice
after sitting still for so long.

A highlighter lay on your papers next to your open text book. "Ahhh.... physics is kind of boring..."

"You think?" Ludwig asked, intrigued.

"Yeah... I-I'm more of a biology person I guess" you were blushing.

"Ahh I see. I like Chemistry and Physics.. they just come naturally I guess." you looked down at Nozomi, anything you could do so that you wouldn't
have to make eye contact.

"I'm uhh going to get Nozomi some water..." you rushed off to the kitchen. 'I'm still as shy as ever...' you mentally sighed as you filled a small bowl with water.
'he probably thinks I'm weird.'

You broke your thoughts and head back out into the living room. "I- back" you set the water down for the kitten and replaced yourself back on the couch.
Ludwig cleared his thraot.

"So... what kinds of things do you like?"

"Mostly just books... reading. It's kind of an escape I guess." you replied, and he nodded in agreement.

"Ja, I can understand that very well"

"With books you can swim the deepest of oceans... or climb the highest mountains... face the most deadly of beasts, or live the most interesting of lives."

Ludwig  had no reply. He only blushed slightly, then smiled. "Ja..."

You looked up from your hands to see the expression on the German's face. He really was handsome.

He suddenly stood up. "Hey, I have a book that you might like" he rushed off to his room and came back with a short, but thick book.
"M-my mum would read this to me when I was younger, but it's still a really good book." he placed the delicate book in your hands.
"You can borrow it as long as you like"

You took a moment to think, then nodded. "Y-yes! Thank you! I-I'll take great care of it!" he smiled.

"I know you will" he ruffled your hair, causing you to turn bright red. "It's almost time for you to go home"

You snapped out of your daze and checked the clock on your phone "you're right... I'll pack up now. Thank you"

~Germany's POV~

'She's really cute... without even trying...' Ludwig looked to the wall as he lay on his bed. 'She's just so shy though' he sighed and closed his eyes 'I'll just have
to break down her walls then. She can't be so afraid all the time'

~Normal POV~

"Ahhh!!!" you flopped onto your bed, your hair still wet from your shower. "I was so awkward!!" your words were muffled by your comforter.
You looked over to your side table and paused. Slowly you reached for the book and flipped it open. It was a book of Fairytails. One you've never
seen before. You began to read it, carefully. Taking in every detail of the exquisitely written literature as if it would just disappear once you finished reading it,
never to be seen again. Before you knew it, it had reached three in the morning. You had been reading since ten o'clock at night. You turned off the lights and
shuffled yourself into bed. "Good night"
